EirGrid is delighted to publish this summary of our Nature Inclusive Design (or Biodiversity Enhancement) pilot projects. EirGrid has a statutory obligation to have due regard for the environment. However EirGrid is committed to going beyond nature protection, to aim for nature restoration. In this way, as we develop projects critical to our renewable ambition, our work will respond to the twinned climate and biodiversity crises.
