Transmission

In May 2009 the CER (Commission for Energy Regulation) published a decision paper on Standard Transmission Charges and Timelines (CER/09/077). CER/09/077 document sets out the standard transmission charges and timelines for some transmission assets to be used by EirGrid plc (EirGrid) when issuing offers for connection to the transmission system. These charges are updated annually to reflect the change in Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) as published by the Central Bank of Ireland.

The All-Island Ten Year Transmission Forecast Statement 2024 was prepared in accordance with the statutory and licence obligations with Ireland and Northern Ireland. The document provides: - Network models and data for the all-island transmission system, - Forecast generation capacity and demand growth, - Maximum and minimum fault levels at transmission system stations, - Predicted transmission system power flow at different points in time, and - Demand and generation opportunities on the transmission system.
