Implementation Roadmap - Hybrid Co-Located sites with MEC Sharing

EirGrid and ESB Networks have today published the Implementation Roadmap for Hybrid Co Located sites with MEC Sharing, following the CRU Decision on the Sharing of Maximum Export Capacity (MEC) behind a Single Connection Point, published on 15 April 2026 (CRU202643 - www.cru.ie/publications/29009/). The roadmap outlines how the System Operators will deliver the approved MEC sharing arrangements, including the required workstreams, sequencing, and implementation approach.

2026 May – SOEF Markets – FASS – Non-reserve Services Consultation Industry Webinar

EirGrid and SONI held a webinar on May 6th to provide information to industry on the Non-reserve Services Consultation. The session provided an overview of the proposals for the design and procurement of Non-reserve Services included in the consultation paper and an opportunity for Q&A. In addition, the TSOs’ external partners, DotEcon, presented a walkthrough of the independent economic analysis which has informed these proposals.
