EirGrid and ESB Networks have published the Hybrids MEC Sharing Frequently Asked Questions document. The FAQ brings together questions raised by industry through recent stakeholder engagement, including the webinar held on 25 June 2026, and provides further clarity on the implementation of Hybrid Co-Located sites with MEC sharing. It covers key areas such as eligibility, readiness and delivery, priority dispatch, energy sharing, technical and operational arrangements, and implementation timelines.

EirGrid and SONI today published a Call for Information on the Qualification Trial Process (QTP) 2026. The QTP is the mechanism through which the Transmission System Operators (TSOs) are managing the transition to a wider portfolio of System Services’ Providers and is a key element of the Operations pillar of our Shaping Our Electricity Future programme. We are currently seeking stakeholder input on areas we should focus on when developing the next round of trials, in order to ensure that we can facilitate active participation by industry stakeholders.
