Trip charges 2024-25

In September 2021, the Commission for the Regulation of Utilities (the ‘CRU’) published the Security of Electricity Supply Programme of Actions Information Paper outlining a programme of work to address a potential capacity shortfall in Ireland. As one of the actions under this programme, Temporary Emergency Generation (‘TEG’) has been procured and installed under the direction of Government and the CRU, pursuant to the provisions in the Risk Preparedness Plan for Ireland (the ‘RPP’) and the EirGrid, Electricity and Turf (Amendment) Act 2022 .
