EirGrid is writing to many members of the public in Cavan, Meath and Monaghan to answer
the most common queries received over the past few months.

EirGrid is continuing to make its Project Team available to landowners, either by
phone or in person, to answer any remaining queries about the proposed new power lines.

This document outlines answers to questions sent to EirGrid by landowners
and the local community in relation to the North-East Power Line Projects.

While EirGrid is of the firm belief that undergrounding does not represent an appropriate technology
for the proposed 400kV projects or for the general development of the transmission system, in this
report, the considerations that would arise in relation to the use of the rail beds involved are examined.

PEOPLE will now be able to hold evening meetings with EirGrid at local information centres following the
introduction of new opening hours.

April 8, 2009 � Following a review of all project documentation, including consultants� studies, reports and consultation feedback, EirGrid has nominated one preferred route corridor for each 400kV power line project for further study.
