CAVAN-TYRONE AND MEATH-CAVAN 400KV TRANSMISSION CIRCUITS COMPARISON OF HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSMISSION OPTIONS: ALTERNATING CURRENT OVERHEAD AND UNDERGROUND, AND DIRECT CURRENT UNDERGROUND FINAL REPORT
This report seeks to establish the feasibility of alternative underground technologies by making technical, environmental and cost comparisons between them and the proposed OHL Project.
Cavan to Tyrone 400kV overhead Powerline Project Distribution of Whooper Swan Feeding and Roosting Sites
The aim of this study was to determine the numbers and distribution of Whooper Swans within a study
area that includes the route corridor options for the proposed Cavan to Tyrone 400kV overhead
powerline. This study is ongoing to coincide with the season when Whooper Swans are present in

Cigr Survey of 380kV to 500kV Overhead Transmission Line Projects Summary Report
The following report details the findings of an ESB International (ESBI) survey
conducted to obtain information on projects relating to electrical infrastructure
within CIGR member Countries. An email questionnaire was issued to the
members of Working Group B2 06 Principles of Overhead Line Design and
also to members of Study Committee B2. The survey requested information
on Overhead Lines in the voltage range 380kV to 500kV that are currently in
planning, construction or commissioned since the year 2000.
