Shaping Our Electricity Future

This presentation provides an update on the Future Power Markets Programmes.

As part of the ongoing work to develop Future Arrangements for System Services, EirGrid and SONI have developed proposals for the design of the Day-Ahead System Services Auction (DASSA). These proposals are based on the High-Level Design set out by the SEM Committee (SEM-22-012) and look to review the reserve products to be procured in the DASSA, and the development of a locational methodology that would support RES-E (electricity from renewable generation sources) objectives.

This document contains detailed examples of the proposed DASSA commitment obligation process.

EirGrid and SONI are seeking expressions of interest from those who would like to become members of the System Services Code Development Working Group. The Working Group will initially convene monthly. The objective of the System Services Code Working Group is to discuss in detail the elements of the SEM Committee’s decision papers and other regulatory documentation relevant to FASS, and to collaborate on the detailed drafting of the System Services Code

This document outlines the Terms of Reference associated with a new Industry Working Group that is being established to develop the System Services Code as part of the FASS Programme.
