Harmonised Other System Charges Methodology Statement Applicable from 1st October 2024

Other System Charges (OSC) are levied for non-compliance to provide necessary services to the system. This document sets out the harmonised arrangements for the calculation of Other System Charges by the Transmission System Operators (TSOs), EirGrid in Ireland and SONI in Northern Ireland respectively, in accordance with the Regulatory Authorities' (RAs) Decision Paper SEM-24-057.

EirGrid Statement of Charges 2024-2025

This statement sets out EirGrid’s charges for use of the transmission system applicable from October 1st 2024 until such time another Statement is approved by the Commission under Section 36 of the Electricity Regulation Act, 1999, as amended. The Transmission Use of System charges published in this statement have been derived in accordance with the 2024 revenue (CRU/2023/104) and the 2025 revenue (CRU/2024/82) allowed by the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU).

Enduring Connection Policy - 2.3 (ECP-2.3) 2022 Category A Batch, August 2024

ECP-2 is the second stage of the CRU’s development of enduring connection policy in Ireland. On 10 June 2020 the CRU published their decision on ECP-2, which set policy for at least three annual batches of connection offers (ECP 2.1, ECP-2.2, and ECP-2.3). The application window for the third batch, ECP-2.3, closed 30 September 2022. The System Operators (SOs) have used the ECP-2 decision paper and subsequent ruleset to determine which applicants have been initially successful in making the list of 843 projects due to receive connection offers under Category A.
